Imports

We provide easy to use templates for our clients to import data into eCollections, but many prefer to leave the IT to Sentinel.  One client recently quipped, “I couldn’t do all that you do at twice the price!”  We take pride in making that statement true.  Data comes from many different sources in many different formats – some of them are really squirrelly.  Each file, regardless of source or contents is standardized, cleaned, and prepared.  From there it goes through a rigid QA process and is then tested in our sandbox environment for a proper load.  It then goes back through QA again and another test before the new accounts are ever loaded into production. 

Even with all this quality control and attention to detail our turnaround time is generally less than 24 hours!

Archiving

eCollections is built for speed and is highly scalable.  We currently have customers with more than 500 concurrent users, 3 million records, and single databases larger than 100GB.  There is no question that eCollections scales to millions and millions of records but how many of those do you actually need active?  Without a good archiving strategy even the best system will slow down over time.  Sentinel consultants will work with you to establish best practices and keep your system running at its peak for years to come.  If you still have data on your production system from 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, or even 20 years ago – give us a call and let us work with you to put together a smart plan to increase system performance while still allowing access to all that “history”.
